Getting Here
By Road: Follow 'Prescot A57' signs from Junction 7 of the M62 Motorway. We are half a mile on the right, opposite The Ship Inn.
By Local Bus: Until around 6pm (Monday to Saturday), the 61 runs twice an hour between Runcorn, Widnes, and Liverpool, stopping close to our gate. Book to 'Loyola Hall at Rainhill Stoops'. On Sunday mornings the less frequent 161 service runs from Liverpool to Rainhill Stoops.
During the day (Monday to Saturday), the 138 from St. Helens runs hourly to our gate. Book to 'Loyola Hall at Rainhill Stoops'. The 137 is also available but takes twice as long, up to 45 minutes. In the evenings and on Sundays, the hourly 109 from St. Helens also stops nearby.
The 10 (all week), 10A (not Sundays), and 110 (only Sundays) services run between Liverpool and St. Helens and stop in Rainhill Village, 20 minutes walk away.
National Bus: Book to Widnes or St. Helens rather than to Liverpool as its bus station is not convenient for local buses.
By Rail: The nearest station is at Rainhill, 20 minutes walk from the house, with direct trains to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Wakefield and Warrington Bank Quay (for connection to Scotland and South). Travellers from London will find it quicker to alight at Runcorn (one stop before Liverpool) and then take the 61 bus (turn left out of the station and skirt the station car-park on the right to reach the bus stop on the main road) or, after 6.20pm, a taxi.
By Air: The nearest airport is Liverpool with direct flights to Dublin, Belfast, Geneva, Amsterdam, Nice, etc. Take a bus, via town centre, or a taxi (much faster). The nearest full international airport is Manchester which has rail links via Manchester to Rainhill.
